Workshops and tutorials provide complementary discussion environments for presenting and discussing ideas in a less formal and more open way than is possible at the main conference. Such environments provide an excellent opportunity for researchers to present work-in-progress and get detailed feedback. Workshops and tutorials are welcome on all topics of interest to GIScience attendees and should be focused either on in-depth topics or on novel and emerging research areas. For details on the submission format see the Call for Workshops & Tutorials. Workshop and tutorial proposals must be written in English and submitted via email to paolo@geoinfo.tuwien.ac.at by January 13, 2014 January 23, 2014 .
